Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant data analysis or data science experience.
• Experience with data compilation and integration from multiple sources using scripting and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Apply core data science skill areas, including mathematical, statistical, and computational foundations.
• Compile, integrate, and manage data from multiple sources using scripting, APIs, and analytic tools.
• Develop and apply statistical analyses, data models, and quantitative methods to explore, assess, and characterize large and complex datasets.
• Design and build rapid analytic prototypes to generate metrics and insights, including performance metrics for sensor or system data.
• Develop reproducible data analysis workflows using Python and common data science tools (e.g., Jupyter notebooks, Pandas).
• Interact with APIs and existing tools to retrieve, process, and analyze data; develop or extend tools as needed to support analytics.
• Translate mission or operational questions into technical and analytic requirements and corresponding analytic approaches.
• Evaluate data quality, structure, and limitations, and account for these factors in analytical methods and conclusions.
• Communicate complex analytical methods, results, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Assess and recommend analytic techniques, tools, and technical solutions based on evolving data collection, processing, storage, and analytics capabilities and constraints.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support data-driven decision-making in mission environments.
