Job summary

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Systems Engineer SME to join a team supporting the 23rd EWS and 350th Spectrum Warfare Group at Eglin AFB, Florida. You will contribute to developing and testing mission data to defeat enemy radar and missiles, enhancing aircrew survivability and EW system performance.

The role requires a TS/SCI clearance, a Master’s degree or 12 years of relevant experience, and 10 years of applicable work history.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Master's degree in a technical/engineering discipline or 12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• 10 years of applicable experience is required.
• Ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make recommendations.
• Working knowledge of computer systems, Windows-based PCs, and Microsoft Office; strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must possess and maintain a DoD TS/SCI clearance (required at hire).

Responsibilities

• Conduct EW research, MD development and MD testing.
• Support EW system programming/reprogramming and coordinate requirements with EW system engineers; prepare validation and verification test plans; participate in MD configuration control boards.
• Assist with collection, recording, and post-test data analysis from MD testing.
• Possible travel—domestic and international; U.S. passport or ability to obtain one is required.

Position

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Systems Engineer SME to join a team to assist the 23rd EWS, 350th Spectrum Warfare Group, 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 350 SWW is the technical focal point for all electronic warfare (EW) support of warfighter systems for the Combat Air Forces (CAF). The mission of the 350 SWW is to develop and test mission data (MD) to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, thus enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidate will conduct appropriate EW research, MD development and MD testing.
• The successful candidate will support EW system programming/reprogramming, work with EW system engineers to coordinate programming/reprogramming requirements, prepare validation and verification test plans, and organize and participate in MD configuration control boards.
• The successful candidate will assist with the collection, recording, and post-test analysis of data generated during MD testing.
• The successful candidate may be required to travel, both domestic and international, so possessing a US passport or having an ability to obtain one is required.

Job Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in a technical/engineering discipline; OR 12 years' relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
• 10 years' applicable experience is required.
• Must have the potential ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Applicants must have a working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software and possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
• Must possess and maintain a DoW TS/SCI Clearance (required at hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred.
• Highly desirable (but not required) attributes include previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing.
• Also desired (but not required) is knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
