Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mission Data Engineer (mid-level) to join a team supporting the 337th EWS and 350th SWW at Eglin AFB, FL. The role focuses on EW mission data development, testing, and integration to defeat enemy radar and missiles, enhancing aircrew survivability.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of system design experience and a Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent. Domestic/international travel may be required. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or a technical field, or 8 years of relevant work experience.
• At least 3 years of system design experience, including hardware/software integration.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct EW research, MD development and MD testing.
• Support EW system programming and coordinate with engineers on requirements.
• Assist with data collection, recording, and post-test analysis.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required (US passport or ability to obtain one).

Torch Technologies is seeking a Mission Data Engineer (mid-level) to join a team to assist the 337th Electronic Warfare Squadron (337 EWS), 350th Spectrum Warfare Wing (350 SWW), at Eglin AFB, Florida. The 337th EWS and related squadrons develop and test electronic warfare (EW) mission data (MD) for our foreign partners to defeat enemy radar and infrared guided missile systems, enhancing aircrew and aircraft survivability in combat. This mission includes operational EW testing, MD development/validation/verification, force development evaluation execution and facilitating foreign materiel exploitation.

As a Mission Data Systems Engineer your duties will include the following, but are not limited to

• The successful candidate will conduct appropriate EW research, MD development and MD testing.
• The successful candidate will support EW system programming/reprogramming, work with EW system engineers to coordinate programming/reprogramming requirements, prepare validation and verification test plans, and organize and participate in MD configuration control boards.
• The successful candidate will assist with the collection, recording, and post-test analysis of data generated during MD testing.
• The successful candidate may be required to travel, both domestic and international, so possessing a US passport or having an ability to obtain one is required.

Job Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Candidates must have at least a Bachelors' degree in a technical/engineering discipline; OR 8 years' relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.
• At least 3 years of system design experience, including hardware/software integration experience.
• They must have the potential ability to recognize and analyze problems, conduct research, summarize results, and make appropriate recommendations.
• Applicants must have a working knowledge of computer systems and an understanding of Windows-based personal computers and Microsoft Office software and possess the ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in an Engineering discipline is preferred.
• Highly desirable (but not required) attributes include a current active Secret security clearance and previous experience in RF integration, EM spectrum management, antenna design, and digital signal processing.
• Also desired (but not required) is knowledge of EW weapons systems development, test and evaluation, and systems engineering.
