Job summary

SAIC in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Data Scientist to join our Advanced Analytics Team to utilize the Army Vantage Data Analytics System to build and implement models, use/create algorithms and create/run simulations.

The role involves analyzing mission data across domains, formulating problems mathematically, developing models and algorithms, and enhancing analytics tools and MLOps frameworks to support the customer’s needs. Requires an active TS clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; master’s with 3+ years; PhD/JD with 0+ years.
• Relational database expertise including SQL queries and keys.
• Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Java and/or JavaScript.
• Experience delivering data analytics solutions and creating algorithms.
• Hands-on experience in data processing, modeling and simulation.
• ML deployment knowledge with focus on optimization.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mission data across multiple domains.

• Design, develop and evaluate mathematical models and algorithms.
• Develop, maintain and enhance software algorithms for large data sets.
• Research analytics tools for possible integration to analytics offerings.
