Job summary

INflow Federal in Springfield, VA is hiring a VMware Systems Engineer to design, secure, and optimize virtualized infrastructure for our intelligence community partner. You will lead the implementation and sustainment of compute environments supporting high-impact national security missions.

Your work will involve VMware vSphere/ESXi, NSX, and Aria tooling, delivering reliable, secure IT systems onsite and remote locations while collaborating across teams and with clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years in IT required.
• 5+ years of hands-on systems engineering with VMware.
• Expertise in vSphere, ESXi, NSX/NSX-T, Aria Operations and Aria Automation.
• Experience with Windows Server and Unix/Linux systems.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, AD, GPO.

Responsibilities

• Design, secure, and optimize VMware-based compute environments.
• Lead architecture, planning, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Troubleshoot VMware, Windows Server, and Linux issues.
• Ensure security and compliance per A&A process.
• Develop tech docs, SOPs, and user guides.
• Provide Tier 2/3 support and mentor junior engineers.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and align with mission goals.
• Deploy VMware Aria Operations and Log Insight with dashboards.
