Job summary

Sierra Space Corporation in Centennial, CO seeks a Manager, Software Engineer to lead one or more software teams delivering mission-critical aerospace software. You’ll blend hands-on engineering with people leadership to ensure disciplined processes, high quality, and on-time delivery.

You’ll mentor engineers, translate strategy into actionable plans, manage budgets, and uphold security clearances, compliance with DO-178B/C, NASA standards, and ISO/CMMI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Several years of relevant software engineering experience, with leadership exposure.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevOps and tailoring for aerospace projects.
• Experience with SDLC management, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working knowledge of aerospace standards (DO‑178B/C, NASA‑STD‑7150.2, 8739, RTCA/DO‑278, ToR‑2011/2023) and quality standards (AS9100, ISO, CMMI).
• Ability to translate functional plans into operational procedures for development, testing, deployment.
• Experience supervising multiple software engineering teams.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to company values and professional standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance.
