Job summary

Bestinfo Systems LLC in Camden, NJ is seeking a Manager, Software Engineer to lead development of mission-critical software, including SIP-based VoIP components, RESTful APIs, and Java EE applications. This full-time role requires a DoD Secret clearance and offers a minimum $10k sign-on bonus and a base salary of $140,000 to $240,000.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 9 years prior relevant experience; Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years; In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
• Senior engineering/technical lead experience
• RESTful services design, development, or integration in production environments
• DoD Secret security clearance
• Strong communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration
• Exposure to proposal development, cost estimation, EVMS-driven environments; Agile or hybrid Agile environment

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical and task leadership for a team of software engineers, delivering high-quality software on cost, schedule, and performance.
• Lead development of RESTful APIs and service-based architectures in Java EE deployments (WARs on JBoss or equivalents).
• Guide software deployment and sustainment on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) with RPM packaging.
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, and architecture discussions for service-based, VoIP, and applications.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, cybersecurity, and program leadership for end-to-end integration.
• Mentor engineers, support recruiting and performance management, and contribute to proposals.
