Job summary

FutureJobHub in Camden, NJ seeks an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team building mission-critical communications and service-based software for Space Mission Systems. Onsite role with relocation assistance; 9/80 schedule and a $10K+ sign-on bonus.

You will oversee development across requirements, architecture, implementation, integration, and test, while mentoring staff and supporting recruiting. Strong RESTful, Java, and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 9+ years of experience.
• Senior engineering/technical leadership experience required.
• Production experience with RESTful services and Java.

Responsibilities

• Lead software development across requirements, architecture, design, and test.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, performance management, and recruiting support.
• Lead development of RESTful APIs, Java applications, and service-based architectures.
• Support RHEL, RPM packaging, JBoss/WAR deployments, VoIP/SIP systems, and real-time comms.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, cybersecurity, and program teams.
• Contribute to architecture/design reviews and engineering planning.

We’re seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead a team developing mission-critical communications and service-based software within Space Mission Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead software development across requirements, architecture, design, implementation, integration, and test.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, performance management, and recruiting support.
• Lead development of RESTful APIs, Java enterprise applications, and service-based architectures.
• Support RHEL, RPM packaging, JBoss/WAR deployments, VoIP/SIP systems, and real-time communications.
• Collaborate with systems, electrical, cybersecurity, and program teams.
• Contribute to architecture/design reviews, proposals, estimates, and engineering planning.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s + 9 years, Master’s + 7 years, or 13 years relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Senior engineering/technical leadership experience.
• Production experience with RESTful services.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher - REQUIRED.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
