Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Software Engineer SME to join a large, long-term program. You will work in small, innovative teams to deliver mission-critical software applications, with heavy collaboration on design and development to ensure user efficiency and mission success.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance, a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related experience, and hands-on experience with Java-based stacks, web services, and messaging. Up to 10% travel locally may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a technical field with 5+ years of related work.
• Experience with OO and functional programming approaches.
• Strong Java stack experience (Java, JMS, REST, Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience with web services, messaging tech (ActiveMQ/Kafka), and testing tools.
• Linux scripting, build tools (Maven/Gradle), and Linux OS familiarity.
• Ability to work with limited oversight and lead complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively create mission critical software applications for users with design input from stakeholders.
• Provide software design and development expertise using test-driven and iterative methodologies.
• Maintain timely, on-schedule deliveries within multi-year programs.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate with team to solve problems and deliver mission success.
• Support testing, integration and deployment of software baselines.
• Mentor teammates and contribute to good development and configuration management practices.
