Job summary

Woolpert, a leading global architecture, engineering, and geospatial firm, is seeking a Project Manager for the Mission Critical Project Management team. This role supports Chicago, IL; New York, NY; and Pittsburgh, PA with full-time in-person, hybrid, or remote arrangements.

Applicants must have work authorization in the U.S.; visa sponsorship is not available. The role emphasizes cross-disciplinary leadership, complex scope, risk management, and client relations across national projects.

Qualifications

• Active professional registration in architecture or engineering is desired.
• Minimum 10 years in architectural, engineering, or construction industries.
• Experience in mission-critical or data center environments preferred.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary projects including mission-critical facilities.
• Strong project management fundamentals and ability to facilitate technical discussions.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to negotiate and manage risk.
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to travel for local, regional, and national clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate the cross-functional project team.
• Oversee quality of deliverables (fee plans, work plans, risk plans, contracts).
• Resolve issues impacting project objectives.
• Develop scope and budget/pricing for proposals and dynamic planning.
• Support client relationships and business development.
• Act as key internal contact; identify plan vs. actual variances.
• Promote Woolpert as an industry leader for mission critical work.
• Negotiate schedule, fee, scope, and contract terms for complex projects.
• Identify and resolve issues impacting client goals and satisfaction.
• Define and communicate client needs and expectations.
• Ensure continuous stakeholder communications.
