Vertage Inc. in Sterling, VA is seeking a senior Project Manager to lead live hyperscale data center retrofit, modernization, and capacity expansion projects from planning through closeout.

You will manage Construction Managers, field teams, and subcontractors, coordinate BMS/EPMS/MEP scopes, own schedules and budgets, and communicate progress to clients and stakeholders. Onsite, contract-to-hire, 12 months.

Formación

• 5+ years in mission critical or data center PM
• Hands-on Construction Manager experience
• Experience with retrofit, modernization, or capacity expansion
• MEP knowledge including cooling and power distribution
• Strong budget, scheduling, forecasting, and client communication

Responsabilidades

• Lead mission critical construction projects from planning through closeout
• Manage Construction Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and trade partners
• Coordinate BMS, EPMS, MEP scopes (cooling, electrical, mechanical, structural)
• Own project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and financial performance
• Coordinate site surveys, feasibility assessments, RFIs, submittals, and change management
• Provide leadership to construction and field teams and communicate progress to clients

About the Opportunity

Lead live hyperscale data center retrofit, modernization, and capacity expansion projects from planning through closeout. Current work is heavily focused on cooling systems, power distribution controls, and broader multidisciplinary MEP upgrades.

What You’ll Do

• -Lead mission critical construction and upgrade projects from planning through closeout
• -Manage Construction Managers, field teams, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary trade partners
• -Coordinate BMS, EPMS, mechanical, electrical, structural, and related MEP scopes
• -Own project schedules, budgets, forecasting, financial performance, and overall execution
• -Coordinate site surveys and project feasibility assessments
• -Provide leadership and technical direction to construction and field teams
• -Communicate project progress, schedule, risks, and updates to clients and internal stakeholders
• -Coordinate RFIs, MOPs, submittals, site logistics, as-built documentation, and change management
• -Attend site visits, bid walks, and client meetings
• -Support estimating, RFQs, and bid submissions
• -Maintain project schedules, logs, reports, and project documentation
• -Build client relationships and identify opportunities for additional work

Job Requirements

• -5+ years of mission critical or data center construction Project Management experience
• -Previous hands-on experience as a Construction Manager
• -Experience managing live retrofit, modernization, or capacity expansion projects
• -MEP construction experience, including cooling and power distribution controls
• -Experience managing schedules, budgets, forecasting, subcontractors, client communication, and project financials
• -Experience leading Construction Managers and field teams
• -Working knowledge of MOPs, BMS, and EPMS
• -Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical, structural, and architectural construction trades
