Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an IT Network Administrator to join the IT Networking team. You will support campus and data center networks, configure switches and APs, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate outages for updates and refreshes.

The role requires 3+ years of professional network administration experience, relevant certifications, and an onsite work commitment. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 35 lbs are also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 3+ years of professional network administration experience.
• Onsite role; hybrid or remote work not considered.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Procure, configure, and install network hardware: switches, access points, UPS, and PDUs.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Plan and coordinate network outage windows with stakeholders for software updates, hardware refreshes, and general network maintenance.
• Perform wireless surveys to determine coverage gaps and implement solutions.
• Configure and troubleshoot NAC and other security features.
• Perform site walks with customers, vendors, and contractors to gather network requirements and create implementation plans.
• Build and maintain IDF rooms across campus in accordance with network standards.
• Monitor network health using in-house and third-party tools.
• Create and update network documentation.
• Manage network hardware inventory.
