U.S. Northern Command, in coordination with NORAD, seeks a Mobility-Transportation /Logistics Planning specialist within the Directorate of Logistics and Engineering (J4), Mobility Division (J47).

The role emphasizes planning and evaluating mobility and logistics to sustain mission readiness across homeland defense operations. The incumbent will apply knowledge of DoD directives and joint publications to resolve issues affecting mobility and logistics support, and will work under demanding

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the mission, functions, programs, policies, structure, and operational capabilities of NORAD and USNORTHCOM in order to plan and evaluate mobility, transportation, and logistics activities, determine mission readiness and sustainability, and promote an understanding of and conformity with command objectives.
  • Knowledge of DOD directives, manuals, instructions, and Joint Publications affecting mobility, transportation, and logistics functions and operation to identify and resolve any issues that can affect negatively to mobility, transportation, and logistics support.
  • Knowledge of DOD, Joint, and other COCOM mission goals and objectives, and the relationship of the various offices involved in planning and execution of military operations and assessments.
  • Knowledge of DOD, Joint, and Federal logistics doctrine, National Laws, policies, directives, and regulations that impact or influence DOD logistics support operations and planning within the Homeland to advise directorate leadership and provide support during the planning proce
