Job summary

CM Mission Critical Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to produce highly detailed construction drawings and perform complex calculations across HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection. This role supports a fast‑paced, highly technical team delivering mission‑critical projects.

Responsibilities include code analysis, psychrometric reviews, system sizing, and coordinating with internal and external partners. A Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering and 3–7 years’ design experience are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
3–7 years of mechanical design experience, preferably within an MEP consulting environment.
Experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in technical markets.
E.I.T. certification preferred but not required; PE licensure is a plus.
Strong detail orientation and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Designs HVAC systems for highly technical environments.
Designs plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, vent, and specialty piping.
Supports performance-based fire protection and controls design.
Performs code analysis and ensures compliance with applicable standards.
Conducts psychrometric analysis and reviews system sizing.
Produces detailed construction drawings coordinated across disciplines.
Coordinates with internal and external team members to ensure project success.
Communicates project goals, challenges, and schedules to project teams.
