Job summary

Vibrint in the United States is seeking a System Administrator to sustain a secure Linux environment for mission users. You will manage physical and virtual servers, authentication, DNS, shared storage, and compliant security practices, supporting a government-contract environment.

This role may be Level 2 or Level 3 based on experience, requires TS/SCI with polygraph, US citizenship, and hands-on expertise with VMware, KVM, Proxmox, and automated administration.

Qualifications

• Professional Linux system administration experience appropriate for a Level 2 or Level 3 position.
• Experience applying DISA STIGs and supporting STE, STN, or comparable secure-system compliance activities.
• Experience administering VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, or similar virtualization technologies.
• Working knowledge of IP networking, firewalls, DNS, authentication, and shared-storage services.
• Experience supporting physical and virtual infrastructure in an operational environment.
• Active DoD 8570/8140 IAT Level II certification.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph-level clearance.
• Education/experience requirements for the System Administrator 2 or 3 labor category.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, patch, and troubleshoot Linux physical servers and virtual machines.
• Monitor system health and respond to mission-critical alerts and Jira tickets.
• Support authentication, DNS, shared drives, home directories, and communications across backend environments.
• Implement and maintain STE, STN, DISA STIG, and system security plan compliance requirements.
• Administer virtualized environments using VMware, Red Hat KVM, Proxmox, or similar technologies.
• Support IP networking, firewall rules, and connectivity with network engineers.
• Manage storage systems and arrays such as NetApp and Isilon.
• Support containerized, cloud, or hyperconverged infrastructure as the environment modernizes.
• Automate routine administration, compliance, and configuration activities where practical.
• Maintain system documentation and communicate status to government and contractor teams.
