Job summary

Federal Sherpa, LLC is seeking a systems and solutions engineer to support the United States Army's Mission Command Training Program (MCTP) at Fort Leavenworth, KS. You will design, install, and maintain server, storage, and network infrastructures, integrate JLCCTC simulation tools, and ensure secure operations across live and constructive environments.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• At least one year of experience integrating training environments and supporting DoD simulation systems.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux administration, virtualization, storage, backup, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with DISA STIGs, SCAP, and DoD cybersecurity best practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical-documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement scalable server, storage, virtualization, and network architectures for Army training environments.
• Install, configure, harden, operate, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and virtualization clusters.
• Configure networking, VPNs, VLANs, and secure LAN/WAN connectivity for distributed sites.
• Install, deploy, test, and troubleshoot JLCCTC applications and simulation tools (WARSIM, JDLM, FIRESIM).
• Manage ARCHER data ingestion, storage, and lifecycle across on-site and off-site locations.
• Capture, analyze, and report exercise data; automate real-time and historical AAR reports.
