Job summary

Cabana is hiring a Web Application Developer to build mission-critical frontend interfaces for defense and government applications. The role focuses on geospatial workflows, real-time collaboration, and data-driven UX across multiple domains, including 2D/3D rendering and UI design systems.

You will own the full frontend lifecycle from research and design to implementation and shipping, collaborating with backend engineers to power robust, scalable solutions used in mission-critical operations.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years frontend or full-stack software engineering experience.
  • Experience building software in CI/CD environments.
  • Strong communication with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a US Security clearance.
  • Experience with geospatial or mapping applications.
  • Background in 2D/3D visualization or graphics rendering.
  • Knowledge of design systems and component libraries.
  • Experience with real-time collaborative tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build high-scale geospatial workflows and mapping interfaces.
  • Design frameworks enabling complex workflows in a single workspace.
  • Develop real-time collaborative tooling and data-analysis solutions.
  • Own APIs and schemas powering frontend code; collaborate with backend engineers.
  • Architect interfaces for data-intensive, complex workflows for technical and non-technical users.
  • Engage with users to understand needs and iterate based on feedback.
  • Work across multiple domains: type theory, 2D/3D rendering, UI systems, performance.
