GDH is seeking a Network Installer to support mission-critical aviation network infrastructure, focusing on FAA operations within a regional area. The role emphasizes maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting enterprise networks to ensure security and reliability.

This is a long-term, on-site engagement based in Plainfield, IN. Candidates should have strong Cisco/Juniper experience, SD-WAN, fiber optics, and the ability to read network diagrams, with eligibility for a U.S.

Qualifications

• This role requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination (Masters 6+, Associates 10+, High School 12+).
• Proven experience in managing enterprise network environments and hands-on networking.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs and routing protocols.
• Experience with SD-WAN, fiber optics, and wireless LAN/WAN systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure uptime, performance, and security of FAA network infrastructure.
• Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
• Support SD-WAN solutions across distributed environments.
• Install and test fiber optic cabling; perform OTDR testing and certification.
• Monitor logs, troubleshoot incidents, and escalate as needed.
• Support network cutovers, migrations, and failover validation.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams and configuration records.
