Job summary

Alston Construction Company operates in Jackson, MS, seeking a Superintendent to lead field execution of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems with emphasis on electrical infrastructure, commissioning, and energy safety. This role ensures installation, energization, and testing of UPS, generators, switchgear, BMS, EPMS, and low voltage controls.

The candidate will coordinate with trade contractors, engineers, and client representatives to meet milestones, drive Lean planning, and uphold

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 7 years in MEP/electrical construction; 3+ years in mission-critical/industrial projects.
• OSHA 30, NFPA 70E/LOTO certifications.
• Strong Lean Construction and Last Planner experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site field operations from development through commissioning.
• Lead Lean construction practices and Last Planner planning.
• Supervise electrical installations including MV, switchgear, UPS, grounding.
• Coordinate commissioning across MEP systems with stakeholders.
• Maintain safety culture and enforce OSHA/NFPA 70E protocols.
• Coordinate with CxA, QA/QC, and client representatives.
