Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer for Federal Mission Critical projects. You will act as a technical specialist on complex electrical systems, supporting DoD facilities with power reliability and secure infrastructure.

The role requires coordination with multidisciplinary teams, adherence to design standards, and mentoring of junior engineers. This opportunity offers hybrid work arrangements, competitive compensation, and a path to professional licensure while delivering

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or accredited program.
  • FE/EIT certification preferred or in progress.
  • U.S. PE license or actively pursuing licensure.
  • Experience with mission critical facilities, power reliability, or DoD infra.

Responsibilities

  • Independently perform electrical engineering assignments of medium to high complexity for Mission Critical projects.
  • Design and develop electrical systems including power distribution, standby power, UPS, grounding, and lighting.
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables: drawings, specs, reports, calculations, studies.
  • Support RFIs, submittals, and field issues with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Mentor Associates and coordinate with project leadership on scope and schedule.
