Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Interiors Architect/Interior Designer to lead the design of interior environments for data center and mission-critical facilities. The role focuses on planning, design, and documentation of office, control room, operations center and employee amenity spaces within hyperscale campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Interior Design from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in interior architecture and/or interior design.
• Proficiency in Revit and BIM-based project delivery; strong construction documents skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design for mission critical and data center projects from programming through construction administration.
• Develop space planning and interior design solutions for office, control room, operations center and other spaces within data centers.
• Create space plans, renderings, mood boards, and finish presentation materials.
• Prepare and coordinate architectural construction documents, specifications, and technical details.
• Select and specify finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
• Coordinate finish selections, interior materials, wayfinding concepts, and workplace standards.
• Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder presentations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary disciplines and ensure compliance with codes and accessibility.
• Support BIM coordination, model reviews, and site observations to verify design intent.
• Mentor junior architects and designers and assist with proposals and client relationships.
