Job summary

Jacobs in the United States is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support our rapidly growing Data Center practice. This role will oversee fire protection across multiple projects, ensuring reliability, code compliance, and safety for mission-critical facilities.

You will collaborate with clients, AHJs, and internal teams to develop innovative fire protection designs, perform hydraulic calculations, and help shape strategies for hyperscale data center developments while growing your career

Qualifications

• 5+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• PE license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or related field.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Fire Protection Engineer for Data Center and Mission Critical projects.
• Provide fire protection design, code analysis, and life safety engineering.
• Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Coordinate with disciplines and interface with clients/AHJs.
• Support business development and proposal activities in Data Center market.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor staff.
