Job summary

Air National Guard Units in Kansas seeks a Command and Control Specialist to transmit instructions to aircrews and support assets, coordinating launch, recall, execution and termination of missions. You will maintain Emergency Action Procedures certifications and relay messages via HHQ, with duties across alert force coordination and briefings.

This role operates on a rotating shift (evenings/weekends may be required) and requires Top Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• No formal education requirement, but graduate education can substitute for specialized experience for higher grade levels.
• Education credits must be supported with documentation.

Responsibilities

• Transmit instructions to aircrews and support assets to coordinate launch, recall, execution, and terminating missions in support of operational events.
• Maintain certification in Emergency Action Procedures (EAP) of JCS, Unified Commands, AMC, USSTRATCOM, and NGB.
• Copy, decode, validate, process and relay messages to appropriate personnel; complete checklist actions per HHQ tasking.
• Control movement and status of the alert force; coordinate with FAA, CSC, MOC, and Fire Department.
• Provide briefings to the CAT and alert force; other duties as assigned; rotating shift; evenings and weekends may be required.
