Job summary

Black Cape is seeking a StellarProduction Operations (ProdOps) Engineer to support a mission-critical cloud-based system from Bethesda, MD. This role requires exacting security clearances and onsite presence five days a week in a SCIF, with multiple shifts to cover 24/7 operations.

You will deploy code, manage deployments in Linux-based clouds, and work across DoD/IC projects involving AI/ML data pipelines and secure environments. Strong collaboration and security mastery are essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain Privileged User Access (PUA).
• Willingness to go onsite up to 5 days a week and work extended hours.
• Experience in classified environments and RMF/accreditation processes.
• Experience operating Linux-based systems and cloud environments (AWS/OpenShift/Kubernetes).
• Strong communication and ability to work across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain a mission-critical cloud-based system in multiple environments.
• Monitor services globally, resolve outages, and escalate when necessary.
• Deploy latest code and security updates to cloud-based systems.
• Make system changes to support clustered deployment environments.
• Provide scalability recommendations for processing and storage components.
• Support engineering in benchmarking system components.
• Roles available across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts to support 24/7 operations.
