Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking talented backend generalist software engineers to join multiple teams and contribute to mission-critical systems powering defense technology.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable back-end services, build data pipelines, and collaborate with robotics and frontend teams to deliver robust software across distributed architectures. Eligible for US Top Secret clearance; travel may be required. This role focuses on impactful, secure, high-performance systems.

Qualifications

• Solid academic background in CS/Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
• 3+ years of hands‑on backend development using Go, Python, Java, Rust, or C++.
• Experience designing and managing relational and NoSQL data stores and data pipelines.
• Ability to learn and contribute to distributed backend systems quickly.
• Motivation to develop mission‑critical backend software with real‑world impact.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable back‑end services powering mission‑critical applications.
• Architect data models, databases, and pipelines for large-scale processing and storage.
• Collaborate with front-end, robotics, and other teams to define service requirements and integration points.
• Optimize performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve data flow and responsiveness.
• Contribute to the full software lifecycle from design to deployment and maintenance of distributed systems.
