Job summary

Shawmut Design and Construction seeks an Assistant Superintendent – Mission Critical to lead field operations on complex projects. You will coordinate subs, site logistics, quality control, and commissioning to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence, while building strong client and partner relations.

Required are 3+ years in commercial construction with 1+ in mission critical/data center work, and a bachelor’s in CM or CE. Travel and relocation may be required as project needs demand.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial construction field experience with 1+ years in Mission Critical/Data Center projects.
• Experience supporting projects valued between $1M and $25M.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or commensurate work experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day field operations of complex mission critical construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site logistics, quality control, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain safety culture, schedules, budgets, and client relations.
• Review drawings, manage procurement, buyout, and submittals.
• Track progress, RFIs, and project documentation; support closeout.
