Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Mission Assurance Engineer - Level 4 in Promontory, UT to lead Safety and Mission Assurance for assigned programs. You will coordinate across S&MA, Engineering, and Quality to ensure compliance, quality, and timely execution under a 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with extensive S&MA experience; U.S. Government Secret clearance eligibility is required, with aerospace experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Experience in aerospace, rocket motor design or manufacturing preferred.
  • Ability to meet program requirements while maintaining compliance to AS9100.

The MACE is accountable to ensure that Safety and Mission Assurance (S&MA) needs are implemented through our systems and will engage across S&MA organizations and into other organizations to assure quality and safety contract requirements are met on time and within budget.This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.In this job, you will:Ensuring resources across S&MA are provided when and where needed to support Program success.Lead efforts to develop, communicate and implement the S&MA vision, strategy, goals and metrics to help meet business and program objectives.Daily interface with program leadership, Engineering, Safety and Quality organizations is required.Regular customer interface is required to assure all customer requirements are being met.Other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 6 years of professional experience – OR – PhD with 4 years of professional experience.Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearancePrior Aerospace experience working with rocket motor design, manufacturing and/or quality.Strong working knowledge of Quality and Safety policies, procedures and processes.Ability to craft solutions to meet program unique requirements while maintaining compliance to AS9100.Must have proven experience in effectively prioritizing competing and demanding priorities to satisfy S&MA requirements.Strong organization, planning, execution and budget management skills.Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and with customers Preferred Qualifications:Advanced engineering degreePrevious quality engineering experienceWorking knowledge of the MRB processesAbility to get things done through formal and informal channels.Ability to get things done through others without directly supervising themCurious about all the exciting developments with the Northrop Grumman Space Sector? Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
