The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) in Laurel, MD is seeking an Missile Test & Evaluation Engineer to lead test & evaluation planning, execution, and analysis for in-development Navy and Air Force strategic missile systems. Qualificações

• B.S. in aerospace engineering or related technical discipline with at least 3 years of experience in test & evaluation of aerospace systems or subsystems
• Technical knowledge of flight/ground testing, aerodynamic performance, flight dynamics, and propulsion
• Strong computer background and programming skills, including MATLAB
• Able to interact with colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams including industry and military personnel, and communicate effectively

Responsabilidades

• Perform missile system test and evaluation for Navy and Air Force programs, assessing performance against predictions and requirements
• Develop performance requirements and evaluation plans for in-development missile systems
• Advise government partners on test & evaluation planning and strategy
• Create data collection requirements to meet sponsor objectives
• Support missile and reentry body modeling, simulation, and field site testing
• Create cutting-edge analysis tools and visualization methods for developmental programs
• Document and present analysis findings to sponsors and other agencies
• Support field-site test operations and sponsor meetings at multiple sites across the country
