Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Cape Canaveral, FL is seeking a Missile Development Operations Manager to build and lead a team responsible for experimental missile builds for the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program.

You will oversee missile assembly/disassembly, test and delivery, apply Earned Value Management and material control, and maintain safety and mission success while coordinating with US Navy representatives.

Qualifications

• B.S./B.A. in engineering, business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance with an Interim Secret granted prior to start.
• Strong customer relations skills and direct customer interface experience.
• Risk and Opportunity Management experience or equivalent comparable experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility.
• Manage missile development operations including missile assembly/disassembly, test, inspection and delivery with a combined workforce.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM), build schedule, and material control to meet objectives.
• Lead safety, mission success, and customer interfaces with internal and US Navy stakeholders.
