Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Systems Software Engineer for the Missile Defense National Team to join the BMDS effort in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL. You will design, develop, test, and sustain Java-based applications across the full software lifecycle in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

Qualified candidates have a bachelor's degree, an active Secret clearance, and multiple years of backend Java experience; familiarity with Agile, Unix/Linux, and MBSE/SysML.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Familiarity with Agile software development process.
• 2+ years backend development with Java/Spring/Oracle SQL/SQL Server.
• 2+ years Unix/Linux experience.
• 2+ years of development tools such as Git, Eclipse, Jira and VersionOne.
• 1+ year experience with SysML Modeling Language.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and test Java-based applications for C2BMC.
• Support full software lifecycle: design artifacts, code changes, reviews, testing.
• Participate in agile planning and execution.
• Develop software requirements and architecture for MDS systems.
• Deploy integration and test processes, tools, and metrics.
• Execute and document integration and testing activities.
• Mentor junior engineers.
