Job summary

MIT Lincoln Laboratory's Summer Research Program Graduate Intern 2027 invites motivated graduate students to work on Integrated Missile Defense Technology projects. Interns will partner with technical staff on MS/PhD level topics and hands-on research in radar, AI, and sensor fusion.

Internships run 10-12 weeks with flexible May–August dates. Housing assistance, shuttle service, and relocation support are available for eligible non-local interns, enabling a productive experience.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD pursuing in a STEM degree (Applied Math, CS, Engineering, Physics)
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, MATLAB, Python
• Experience or coursework in radar, signal processing, AI/ML
• Familiarity with data structures and algorithms

Responsibilities

• Contribute to challenging projects related to national security and missile defense
• Collaborate with technical staff on hands-on research
• Work individually or in teams depending on project needs
