Job Title: Missile Command and Control (C2) Software Development Team Product Owner (PO)

Location: Huntsville, AL

Position Type: Full-Time

Clearance Level: Secret

Position Description:

The Air and Missile Defense (AMD) TIS (Track Identification Services) SW (Software) Development Team Product Owner (PO) will work as a member of the Army Program Executive Office Missiles and Space (PEO MS) Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office (PO). The PO will be responsible for prioritizing and validating the development software for the TIS team, which focuses on the identification and classification of tracks in the C2 (Command and Control) software. Responsibilities include reviewing and understanding systems engineering concepts, designs, algorithms, and providing guidance to the development team. The PO will collaborate with program management to set priorities for capabilities and defects for each product increment and sprint, and will provide technical briefings and advisement to leadership on the status, risks, performance, and impacts on the IFMC mission.

Basic Qualifications:
  1. The candidate must have a good understanding of CID (Classification, Identification, and Discrimination) used in C2 systems including IFF, ADS-B, Air Tasking Orders, and NCTR.
  2. The candidate must be able to oversee the development team and verify their work based on acceptance criteria, including attending code reviews.
  3. The candidate must be able to work directly with Agile software developers.
  4. Proficiency in the Microsoft Office toolset.
  5. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in engineering, sciences, or mathematics from an accredited college (ABET preferred).
  6. Minimum of 7 years of combined Government/DoD experience performing the duties listed above.
  7. Must be a US citizen.
Desired Qualifications:

Knowledge in IBCS, PATRIOT, MEADS, THAAD, C2BMC, or AEGIS, and familiarity with current CID measures in one or more DoD services. Prior Product Owner experience on a SCRUM team is a plus.
