Program Summary

The MISS program supports the US Department of State’s operations in Iraq, providing base operations, Life Support Services, and advisory capabilities to the Iraqi Government, focusing on economic planning, strategy development, feasibility studies, technical reviews, and large-scale project management. KBR provides facility maintenance, procurement, critical supply functions, foodservice, base camp operations, renovations, construction, and medical services.

Job Summary

The Executive Food Manager assists the Program Manager in managing all aspects of food services at the COM sites. Responsibilities are representative and not all-inclusive.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe workplace and prioritize safety.
  • Comply with Environmental, Safety, and Quality Assurance requirements.
  • Provide necessary documentation to divisions.
  • Manage, monitor, and track food services.
  • Allocate and manage food service staff resources.
  • Identify issues and respond to mission requirements.
  • Manage food services operations across sites.
  • Control resources, monitor staff proficiency, and coordinate information flow.
  • Resolve food service issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
Basic Qualifications
  • Associate’s Degree in Food and Beverage, Hospitality, or related discipline.
  • 10 years of food service management experience in large operations (e.g., college cafeterias, large restaurants).
  • US Citizen with a valid US Passport (>1 year remaining).
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Pass pre-employment background check and drug screen.
  • Possess a USG Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) certification prior to hiring.
  • Maintain required clearance or certification level throughout the contract.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of food service activities for similar operations.
  • Leadership and management skills for food services and logistics staff.
  • Ability to execute food service duties effectively.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team-oriented and innovative mindset.
