Job summary

Bexar County Criminal District Attorney's Office is seeking a licensed Texas attorney to determine case merit and develop case plans for State actions. You will represent the State in legal actions and supervise staff as needed.

The role requires strong knowledge of civil and criminal prosecution procedures, ethical standards, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining professional advocacy and factual clarity.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Texas.
• Knowledge of civil and criminal prosecution procedures and plea bargaining.
• Strong research, writing and analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively under stress and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Reviews cases for legal sufficiency and drafts documents for disposition.
• Prosecutes juvenile and criminal cases and litigates appeals.
• Interviews victims, witnesses, defense attorneys and law enforcement personnel.
• Researches statutes and case law; performs computer-assisted research.
• Dictates and edits legal documents; coordinates pre-hearing and trial dockets.
• May supervise paralegals, advocates and support staff.
