Job summary

Borrelli Steel Fabricators, LL in Vineland, NJ is seeking an Experienced Layout, Fitter, and Fabricator to work on miscellaneous stairs, handrails, platforms, and related components. You will fabricate from shop drawings, perform layout and fit-up, and ensure high-quality results from start to finish.

The position requires 5+ years hands-on experience, read/interpreting shop drawings, and expert welding knowledge.

Qualifications

Position: Miscellaneous Stair & Handrail Layout and Fitter

QUALIFIED STEEL STAIR & HANDRAIL LAYOUT & FITTER POSITION: Miscellaneous Metals Fabricator located in the Vineland, NJ area has a position available for an Experienced Layout, Fitter, & Fabricator.

Job Duties:

• Fabricate all misc. working from shop drawings, layout, fit up and fabrication of product from start to finish while maintaining high quality.
• Be productive, efficient, and work safely implementing common sense practices, sound judgment, and proactive measures.
• Be able to plan and prioritize, organize, and accomplish fabrication shop work.
• Understanding and adhering to the defined scope of work.

Fabrication of:

• Stair Stringers
• Handrails & Grab rails
• Platforms and catwalks

Have Utilized these Materials:

• Carbon steel, such as A36, A572 & A992

Strong knowledge of these Welding methods:

• GMAW. FCAW a plus.

Job Experience:

• 5+ years of "HANDS-ON" experience in the layout, fitting, and welding of miscellaneous metals, stair stringers, handrails, and grab rails.
• Must be able to read and interpret shop detail drawings.
• Expert level knowledge of all welding methods, procedures, and quality control.
• Working knowledge of all tools and equipment i.e. overhead cranes, saws, iron workers, shears, welding equipment.
• The ability to communicate and work effectively with managers and employees.

Employment Requirements:

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must complete a company medical review, background check, physical and drug screening prior to employment.
• Must possess a welder’s certification or be capable of acquiring one.
