Job Summary

Reporting to the Club Director and Program Manager, Minor Employees support a safe, positive environment that facilitates youth development and promotes program participation. Minor Employees participate in required orientation and training and support Club programs and operations under the direction and supervision of adult staff. Minor Employees are not adult staff and may not be assigned independent authority, unsupervised member care, or staff-level responsibilities. Minor Employees may never be left alone with Club Members or provide one-on-one supervision.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Supporting Club activities and programs as well as maintaining and assisting in program areas as needed under adult staff supervision.
  • Assisting with program setup, event preparation, cleanup, and organization of supplies and program areas.
  • Performing administrative duties, such as organizing materials, filing, copying, and basic front-desk support.
  • Performing other non-hazardous duties appropriate to the employee’s age, training, and abilities, as permitted by Colorado and federal child-labor laws.
Qualifications

This position requires candidates to be an active registered member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, be in good standing, and be at least 16 years of age. Candidates must complete required pre-employment processes, screenings, new hire orientation, onboarding, safety training, and site-specific orientation before beginning work.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Conditions of Employment

The position requires passing criminal and drivingrecordsinvestigations, and reference checks.

The position will primarily work indoors.Accordingly, the ability to use a variety of equipment including janitorial and office equipment isrequired.

Some job duties require the ability to stand for extended periods, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighingin excess of25 lbs. Outdoor work and moderate physically demanding activities may berequiredon occasion.

Strong English proficiency isrequiredfor this position to ensure effective communication with staff, club members, and families, as well as to follow safety and procedural guidelines accurately.

In-Office and Remote Work

This position works primarily at an assigned club location but may occasionally work from other BGCMDfacilitiesas necessary.
