Dinges Fire State Manager Job Description

The Dinges Fire State Manager position is a crucial role within the company, requiring a dynamic, responsible, and proactive team player who can surpass sales goals. The manager's interaction and leadership directly influence the growth of the state and Dinges Fire overall.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
  1. Adaptability is vital, as the company is growing rapidly and responsibilities may shift unexpectedly. The ability to thrive amidst change is essential.

  2. Must have a firefighter background and a comprehensive understanding of Fire Department and EMS needs. We are Firefighters selling to Firefighters!

  3. This role involves weekly travel within the state, attending meetings at the Amboy headquarters several times a year, and participating in fire shows as needed. Building relationships with fire departments and the sales team across the state is a primary task.

  4. This is a remote sales position. The manager must be capable of growing the business independently without daily in-person oversight, with a dedicated home office space.

  5. Excellent customer service is a must, with the goal of establishing personal relationships with every Fire Department Chief and decision-maker within the state.

  6. Experience in managing 1099 distributors and sales reps is required, along with the ability to recruit and onboard new 1099 sales representatives to cover the assigned state fully.

  7. Strong managerial skills, along with superb oral and written communication abilities, are essential.

  8. Candidate should possess excellent people skills and enjoy working within a team environment.

  9. Proficiency in computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with web-based sales platforms, is required.

  10. Ideally, the candidate resides within the assigned state.
