Job summary

International Friendships, Inc. (IFI) is seeking a Washington D.C. Ministry Leader to launch and grow campus ministry efforts in the D.C.

area. The role involves partnering with universities, churches, and volunteers to host Bible discussions and cultural events, while mentoring students and building a network of supporters. The position requires a Bachelor degree, faith-based alignment with IFI, and the ability to mobilize, train, and lead in a cross-cultural setting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people is required.
• Bachelor degree is required or equivalent.
• Experience in cross-cultural ministry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Launch your ministry location by building relationships with university staff, establishing partnerships with churches, mobilizing volunteers, and hosting Bible discussions and cultural events.
• Mentor at least one international student and share the love of Jesus on campus.
• Register IFI as a recognized student organization and maintain relationships with campus international groups.
• Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships for the budgeted needs of the role.

International Friendships, Inc. is a Christian non profit. The mission of IFI is to extend life-changing love and friendship to international college students. We do this by offering services, such as airport pickups, holiday hosting, temporary housing, conversation partnerships, and social events and trips.

Expected Work Schedule For The Washington D.C. Ministry Leader

• Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
• Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific ministry needs
• Annual Conferences such as the IFI Staff Retreat

Pay Structure For a Washington D.C. Ministry Leader

• Requires the development of a ministry partner team which supplies the necessary prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
• Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
• Pay range is between $28,093 and $87,418 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

It's also home to over 17,000 international students at George Washington, Georgetown, George Mason, and several other universities. This is an amazing place to reach some of the finest students from all over the world from one of the most influential areas of the world.

The Washington D.C. Ministry Leader Will

• Launch your ministry location by building relationships with university staff, establishing partnerships with churches, mobilizing volunteers, and hosting Bible discussions and holiday and cultural events
• Mentor at least one international student and share the love of Jesus on campus
• Register IFI as a recognized student organization, maintain that registration, and maintain a good relationship with other campus international organizations
• Develop and maintain financial and prayer partnerships for the budgeted needs of the role by sharing the vision of the ministry

Qualifications Needed from the Washington D.C. Ministry Leader, including Spiritual Characteristics

• Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
• Faithful in evangelism and hospitality to international students as well as discipling believers to do the same
• Well organized, takes initiative, able to work independently or collaboratively
• Flexible and adaptable
• Proficient with technology necessary to the ministry, including Microsoft Office and Google applications

Education/Experience For a Washington D.C. Ministry Leader

• Demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people required
• Bachelor degree
• Experience in cross-cultural ministry, preferred
