Job description

$18-$20 per hour

Child Evangelism Fellowship of Ohio, Miami Valley Chapter is seeking a ministry-minded individual who is being called to fill a part-time or full-time position of Ministry Coordinator.

General Responsibilities

A ministry coordinator performs the planning, execution, and supervision of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) ministries, such as Good News Club and 5-Day Club. The ministry coordinator should be able to plan and analyze, demonstrate organizational skills, and motivate people by promoting CEF programs and methods with individuals, churches, community organizations, and school districts.

Specific Responsibilities
  1. Ensure growth of Good News Clubs within the chapter.
  2. Find and develop relationships with key contacts and stimulate PR opportunities.
  3. Evaluate Good News Clubs (GNC) through routine visits.
  4. Oversee GNC teams to fulfill policies, including background screenings and training.
  5. Provide consistent encouragement to Good News Club teams.
  6. Ensure CEF administrative responsibilities to the state and national CEF offices are completed.
  7. Complete local school district requirements in order to conduct after-school Good News Clubs.
  8. Meet regularly with Local Coordinator/Director and provide a monthly written report.
  9. Accomplish other tasks as requested by Local Director.
  10. Work with the local director to develop teens for Christian Youth In Action.
  11. Oversee the operations of 5-Day Clubs, fairs, and other summer outreach events.
  12. Update the local director regularly on ministry status, concerns, and potential problems, keeping excellent documentation on all ministry-related matters.
  13. Be an ambassador for the Chapter and actively involved in chapter fundraising.
  14. Support ministry activities and work as a team.
Qualifications
  1. A daily walk with the Lord and constant prayer life.
  2. A mature Christian demonstrating the character of Jesus Christ.
  3. Good standing with a local church.
  4. Confident about the calling to minister to children.
  5. A clear background screening.
  6. A love for the local church and other Christian organizations, valuing them as ministry partners.
  7. Willing to abide by the purpose and policies of CEF.
  8. A continual learner and strategist who loves people with the ability to demonstrate Biblical leadership building teams who are diverse in skills, experience, and culture.
  9. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Knowledge of Canva, Facebook, and Microsoft Publisher is a plus.
  10. Willing to work towards completion of a Bible certificate and Children’s Ministry Institute diploma as required.
  11. The ability to take the initiative on tasks and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
