Job summary

OceanaGold Corporation seeks a Surveyor to support Haile Gold Mine operations in South Carolina. You will perform set-out, collect survey data, and maintain records to support safe mining operations.

The role requires 1–3 years of civil surveying experience, familiarity with Trimble GPS, and a proactive approach to design control while complying with safety policies. Opportunities for professional development and competitive compensation are offered.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of civil surveying experience.
• Experience in a hard rock mining environment preferred.
• Proficiency with Trimble GPS platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety requirements and company procedures.
• Set-out design control, drill holes, and grade control per priorities in a mining environment.
• Be physically fit to traverse rough terrain and perform blockouts.
• Work safely around heavy machinery (haul trucks, loaders, drills).
• Check as-built designs for compliance and remediate variances as needed.
• Maintain records of survey data.
• Use computer software to produce plans and data for operations and technical teams.
• Pursue Part 107 remote pilot's license.
• Collect geotechnical data as specified by the Geotechnical Engineer.
• Assist Senior Surveyor with tasks as requested.
