Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is seeking a Mining Support Manager in Negaunee, MI.

The role will be the primary on-site contact for mine operations, coordinating equipment needs, support, and reliability initiatives to optimize uptime and performance. The ideal candidate has a technical background, proven communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams across parts, service, and equipment sales.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in mining equipment or heavy machinery support.
• Familiarity with mine operations and planning processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with a wide range of mine personnel.
• Good computer skills and system knowledge.
• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain meaningful and sustainable relationships with mine operations, maintenance personnel, and key stakeholders.
• Serve as the go-to resource for equipment needs, support, and strategy at the mine site.
• Identify and drive actions to achieve superior equipment availabilities.
• Lead monthly customer action log reviews and meetings.
• Attend and contribute to daily/weekly mine site meetings.

Road Machinery & Supplies Co. is searching for a Mining Support Managerto join its team at its Negaunee, MIlocation. In this role, you will serve as the primary contact and trusted partner for assigned mine site(s), responsible for managing day-to-day customer support, monitoring equipment uptime and reliability initiatives, and identifying ongoing needs across the full scope of the business - equipment and component sales, parts, and service. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proactive communication skills, and a deep understanding of mining operations.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain meaningful and sustainable relationships with mine operations, maintenance personnel, and key stakeholders
• Serve as the go-to resource that the mine depends on for equipment needs, support, and strategy
• Identify and drive actions to achieve superior equipment availabilities
• Lead monthly customer action log reviews and meetings
• Attend and contribute to daily/weekly mine site meetings
• Serve as the on-site authority to direct RMS priorities
• Drive equipment reliability efforts, including root cause and failure analysis processes
• Support warranty administration and recovery processes in coordination with RMS teams
• Maintain relationships with RMS OEMs on all relevant levels
• Interface with mine planners and assist with parts and component forecasting
• Coordinate customer training requests
• Assist with GET/RDT inspections
• Other responsibilities as defined by management

Qualifications/Skills:

• 2-year technical degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in mining equipment or heavy machinery support
• Familiarity with mine operations and planning processes
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to build rapport with a wide range of mine personnel
• Good computer skills and system knowledge
