Job summary

ERM is seeking a Managing Consultant, Science or Engineering, Mining to drive sustainable mining projects from concept to completion. Based in Salt Lake City or nearby offices, you’ll lead multi-disciplinary teams, shape strategy for regulatory and environmental challenges, and deliver high-impact solutions for global clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering required.
• 4+ years of professional mining/metals experience; mine site experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, permitting, and compliance.
• Exceptional communication skills; ability to distill complex concepts for executives and operators.
• Proficient in MS Office; willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Support mining initiatives across the project lifecycle, including mine closure and remediation strategies and project reviews.
• Design and implement programs, policies, and standards with ERM SMEs.
• Facilitate mine closure, reclamation strategies, and related initiatives.
• Prepare CEQA/NEPA documents, ESA Biological Assessments, and regulatory permits.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permitting requirements.
• Develop proposals, scopes, and cost estimates; contribute to business development.
• Manage scope, budget, and schedule while delivering high‑quality outputs.
• Build client relationships and foster collaboration within ERM teams.
• Analyze data to produce clear executive summaries; communicate trends effectively.
• Promote safety, excellence, and innovation across projects.
