Summary:

  • Promote and sell Cavotec's Industry portfolio of products, services, and engineering capabilities (including customization) to Mining OEMs. Focus on cable reels (motorized and spring), radio remote controls, and connectors.
  • Develop regional (Americas) OEM accounts in the mining sector.
  • Gather market and account intelligence.
  • Achieve sales targets in the assigned area following the guidelines of the Regional Sales Director and Global Product Managers.
  • Identify new business opportunities and maximize cross-selling within existing key accounts.

The Role:

  • Meet business goals as per the directives of the Regional Sales Director & Global Product Managers.
  • Manage and develop strong relationships with existing and new customers to facilitate business delivery.
  • Provide technical and commercial support to customers.
  • Read and analyze technical and commercial tender documentation.
  • Prepare technical and commercial offer documentation.
  • Support project management of high-value contracts.
  • Articulate technology, product features, and benefits to both business and technical users.
  • Identify technical issues to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.
  • Communicate the competitive advantages of Cavotec technology compared to competitors.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to incorporate customer feedback and market trends into product development.
  • Negotiate price, schedule, terms, and conditions with customers; create operating agreements for key accounts.
  • Update CRM (Salesforce) regularly with leads, customer insights, and opportunities.
  • Work with product leaders to suggest new product ideas and demonstration concepts for mining.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in commercial roles within the mining and tunneling industry.
  • Proven success in selling technical products such as cable reels, connectors, radio remote controls, or other industrial controls to Mining OEMs, end-users, or service providers is advantageous.
  • Diploma or University Degree in Electrical, Automation, or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships with customers through face-to-face interactions.
  • Ability to work independently with responsibility.
  • Experience with domestic and international travel.
  • Sales-oriented mindset, comfortable with long sales cycles, and strong process management skills for customized products.
  • Ability to work effectively across organizational levels and cultures.
  • Strong presentation skills; able to develop and deliver technical and value-based presentations.
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking); Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Mobility Requirements:

  • Domestic travel within the USA (at least 50%) required.
  • Passport holder is essential.
  • Territory includes North, Central, and South America, with a focus on the US and Canada.

Preferred Locations: Wisconsin, Illinois, or Michigan.
