Job summary

Freeport-McMoRan is seeking candidates for a Health & Safety role at our Safford operation in southeastern Arizona. The position focuses on risk assessments, safety audits, training, and coordinating safety programs across multiple divisions to maintain a safe, compliant workplace in a 24/7 operation.

Applicants should have a HS diploma (GED) with 4 years of H&S experience, or an Associate's with 2 years, or a Bachelor's in a related field.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 4 years Health & Safety or related experience.
• Associates degree with 2 years Health & Safety or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessments and raise safety awareness for employees and managers.
• Conduct safety audits and ensure regulatory compliance within area of responsibility.
• Train staff in safety procedures and supervise safety-related activities.
• Support investigations, root cause analyses, and incident documentation.
• Assist with workers’ compensation processes and loss prevention initiatives.
