Job summary

PacifiCorp in Point of Rocks, WY is seeking a Supervisor, Production for the Bridger Coal operation. This role oversees mine surface operations, coal mining and haulage, and reclamation, delivering safe, efficient production while coaching and developing staff.

You will lead shift activities, ensure compliance with mine plans and regulations, supervise safety meetings, coordinate with maintenance and safety teams, manage staffing and performance, and support union relations under the collective

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in mine operations and equipment access or equivalent.
• Leadership and teamwork skills to develop employees and coordinate with shifts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage multi-department relations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the mining and haulage of coal and reclamation at the surface mine.
• Utilize manpower and equipment safely to maximize production and control costs.
• Ensure equipment service, track progress, and maintain regulatory compliance before each shift.
• Lead safety meetings and identify unsafe conditions with corrective actions.
• Coordinate daily work activity with management and other supervisors.
• Collaborate with maintenance and safety to achieve safety and efficiency.
• Train staff on equipment operation and ensure AVRP program is understood.
• Enforce compliance with mine plans, safety rules, and state/federal regulations.
• Develop supervision staff via goal setting, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Ensure adherence to the collective bargaining agreement and address labor issues.
