Riot Platforms is seeking a Data Center Lead Technician to install and maintain Bitcoin mining equipment, lead a small team, and uphold safety standards in a demanding data center environment.

This role operates on a Panama schedule of rotating 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, requiring climbing lifts, hands-on wiring, and meticulous housekeeping to ensure peak miner performance. You will supervise staff, coordinate with maintenance, and document work orders using Monday.com.

About the role

We are seeking ambitious and motivated candidates who have a strong interest in working in the Bitcoin and Bitcoin Mining industry.The Data Center Lead Technician will be responsible for the installation of Bitcoin Miners and maintaining a clean environment and the equipment. A successful Data Center Lead Technician possesses basic competence in reading, mathematics, hand tools, and technology. This Data Center Lead position is for This position follows a Panama Schedule , consisting of rotating 12-hour shifts with alternating workweeks. Day shift: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

What you'll do

• Supervise, train, and monitor team members.
• Monitor employee compliance with operational and safety standards, along with other department and company policies and practices.
• Assists the Assistant Supervisor in their absence by performing administrative duties, including but not limited to utilizing company software (Monday.com), reviewing and approving employee timesheets, ensuring timesheet accuracy, and updating work orders and pass-downs.
• Perform the installation of computer equipment from start to finish including unpacking boxes, installing crypto miners, pulling, and installing cables (Cat-5) in the appropriate server port.
• Use hand tools to cut foam and install on racking.
• Operate a scissor lift at heights up to 20 feet to install and maintain crypto miners.
• Responsible for the maintaining the crypto miners by performing housekeeping tasks including pick up and dispose trash, dusting, and sweeping the work area.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Physical requirements and work environment

• Exposure to high noise levels and varying temperatures
