The Mining Inspector will be responsible for monitoring mining operations, ensuring compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and mineral loss control procedures across active project sites in Peru.
Reporting To
Senior Site Operations Manager / Project Quality Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect mining operations and ensure compliance with operational and safety standards
- Monitor mineral extraction, handling, and transport processes to reduce losses
- Conduct site inspections and prepare technical reports
- Verify adherence to environmental and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with laboratory and quality control teams
- Identify operational risks and recommend corrective actions
Education & Qualification
- Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in mining operations or inspection roles
- Prior exposure to Africa or South America mining projects is an advantage
Technical Skills
- Mining inspection and operational auditing
- Mineral loss control and reporting
- Sampling and field verification techniques
- Understanding of mining safety and compliance standards
- Report writing and documentation
Languages
- English (required)
- Spanish (preferred for Peru operations)
