Job summary

Turner Staffing Group is seeking a Traveling Heavy Equipment Operator to support mining operations. You will operate haul trucks, loaders, excavators and other machines, ensuring safety and production targets are met across varying shifts and weather conditions.

The role requires pre/post-shift inspections, adherence to MSHA regulations, and collaboration with supervisors and dispatch to maintain efficiency on site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in mining, quarry, construction, or similar industrial environments.
• Ability to safely operate one or more types of mobile equipment such as haul trucks, loaders, excavators, or dozers.
• MSHA certification preferred (or willingness to obtain if required).
• Strong understanding of equipment safety protocols and hazard awareness.
• Ability to work in varying weather and site conditions.
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
• Ability to work day shift, night shift, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy mobile equipment in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Perform pre‑shift and post‑shift equipment inspections and complete required documentation.
• Identify and report mechanical issues or unsafe conditions promptly.
• Follow mine site safety procedures, policies, and MSHA regulations at all times.
• Work closely with supervisors, dispatch, and other team members to meet daily production targets.
• Maintain clean and orderly equipment cabs and work areas.
• Assist with general mine site tasks as needed to support operations.
