Mining Gearbox Mechanic

What you can look forward to as a Mining Mechanic

1. Inspects and reports failure analysis of product and parts
2. Reassembles gearboxes including implementing product updates
3. Tests product to ensure functionality
4. Communicates with customer service for product analysis and customer support
5. Inventory reception and accountability procedures
6. Performs related tasks as assigned
7. Assists with training requirements

Your profile as a Mining Mechanic

1. High School diploma or equivalent required
2. Technical or vocational school or 3+ years mechanical product experience
3. Must be able to read and write English and have strong verbal and written communication skills; strong computer skills
4. Knowledge of hand or pneumatic tools; forklift and/or pallet jack experience; Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) training/experience
5. Previous lean manufacturing and 5S experience preferred
6. Previous experience with SAP and/or Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook) preferred
7. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
8. Valid Driver’s License
