Job summary

State Fire Sales & Svc in Utah is seeking a Fire Suppression Technician to service heavy equipment fire suppression systems in the mining industry. You will inspect, maintain, and service dry chemical, clean agent, and special hazard systems on-site.

Experience is preferred, but training will be provided. Competitive pay based on experience, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance and a 401K plan. On-call as needed and a strong team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude with hand and battery tools.
• Welding and maintenance experience preferred.
• Independent work ethic and reliability.
• Basic computer skills and comfort using mobile applications.
• Customer service mindset with clear communication.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and on-call when needed.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
• Experience with mining vehicle fire suppression systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and service dry chemical, clean agent, and special hazard fire suppression systems.
• Inspect and replace fire suppression tanks, cartridges, and control unit batteries.
• Perform semi-annual system maintenance, including checking hoses, discharge lines, nozzles, and detection loops.
• Maintain data logs and control unit information.
